What we do
We target fundamentally strong but run-down assets that have potential for transformational improvement and increased production. We acquire, consolidate, and reposition these assets into institutional grade regional hubs in Eastern Australia. We implement a redevelopment and regeneration strategy that includes:
- increased fencing infrastructure for greater control over livestock and grazing pressures;
- Yards and farm infrastructure for staff safety and efficiency;
- Water infrastructure for water use efficiency and greater pasture utilization;
- Rehydration and waterway repair to increase effective rainfall and reduce erosion;
- Repair and enhancement of soils and pastures to build soil biology and carbon;
- Pastures for purpose to ensure a greater volume and quality of pasture tailored to livestock system;
- Change of use to shift to a higher and better use of land, such as developing assets to support premium commodity production, converting traditional grazing land into cropping or other higher value forms of agriculture, or developing previously disregarded, unproductive portions of land;
- Environmental markets to capture carbon, biodiversity, or other environmental credits where applicable and complementary to agriculture.
Our Operational Management
We manage our assets with a regenerative livestock grazing and farming business that is conservative and complementary of the long-term land development and enhancement strategy. We focus on premium products, such as Wagyu beef, that have traceability and branding potential. We forward sell livestock through offtake agreements to ensure revenue certainty and manage commodity price exposure. We also manage third party livestock, whereby we leverage our management team and operating practices across neighboring assets to increase overall returns in a lower risk, asset-light manner.
We manage our climatic risk through a combination of management practices to protect land health and formal carbon monetization projects. We increase our natural capital and resilience through holistic grazing management and effective rainfall. We diversify our regional hubs and portfolio to benefit from different rainfall patterns and standard deviations from average. We also focus on natural and licensed water use to increase drought resilience.
Our People
We have a team of experienced and passionate professionals who share our vision and passion for regenerative agriculture. We work with multigenerational existing agribusinesses to solve succession and estate planning by providing a safe and trusted custodian for the land. We also seek to identify assets with existing management (family) that may retain a stake in the fund/property specific vehicle, and who have a vision for enhanced scale and management capabilities. We believe that our people are our greatest asset and we invest in their development and well-being.
